Entry: The Animated Lord of the Rings: Part One Saturday, March 11, 2006

Hey all. Yeah, I know I promised more frequent updates, but I got sidetracked in two of the biggest projects Pop Arena has ever handled. One of them is this, Part One of a three part review of Ralph Bakshi's epically stupid animated Lord of the Rings film. If you think the first third was dumb, wait till you see part two, where orcs wear voodoo masks, and part three, where Gollum spots a british accent. Don't expect Part Two right away, I might do a few smaller articles between each part. As for the other big project, well, let's say you ain't seen nothing like it.

You can read the article HERE!

So, Greg, which do you prefer:

animated Gandalf or live action Gandalf (Ian McKellen)?

animated S/Aruman or live action Saruman (Christopher Lee)?

animated Frodo or live action Frodo (Elijah Wood)?

animated Sam or live action Sam (Sean Astin)?

animated Aragorn or live action Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen)?

animated Merry and Pippin or live action Merry and Pippin (Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd)?

animated Legolas or live action Legolas (Orlando Bloom)?

animated Gollum or CGI Gollum (Andy Serkis)?

animated Sauron or live action Sauron (Sala Baker)?

animated Nazgul or live action Nazgul?

animated Bilbo or live action Bilbo (Ian Holm)?

And will you review the animated version of "The Return of the King"?
