Entry: Power Rangers: Year One (Yellow) Friday, April 28, 2006

Yes, I probably have gone mad. As if I wasn't such a loser for liking Power Rangers as much as I do, now I'm writing fricken FAN FICTION for it. I present "Power Rangers: Year One." If you read Frank Miller's "Batman: Year One," you'll probably know what this is: a darker retelling of the Power Rangers' first adventures. I'm not really rewritten episodes here so much as I'm adding subtext that wasn't present before.

This first part of a five-part series (to fit along with all the other series I need to finish) focuses on Trini, the Yellow Ranger, and her conflicts as seen in the 2nd Power Rangers episode ever, "High Five". You can read it HERE!

I think it's pretty sad when the fanfiction is better than the original product.

By the way, that didn't remind me of "Batman Begins" as much as it reminded me of "Spider-Man".

I seriously think this is the way the Power Rangers would have been if they were directed by Sam Raimi.

Wow, that was really well done, I've always felt that the romance between those two was short lived. Sad that the actress who played Trini was taken from the world too soon. :(
Good to see that the Trini however will live on.

Quoth the server, 404! Fix your main page link, I could only get to this through the blog.

Power Rangers were horribly uncool in my age bracket when they first appeared. We hated them. We were the Turtle gen. (And guess what? WEEEE got a well-done revival series, and YOU didn't! HA! HA! HA!)

"I'm serious. On the day of Rita's first attack, I had told Alpha to find me five teenagers with attitude. Those were my exact words."
They suuuure were, Zordon. The funniest four words of 1993.

"Uh-oh! Rita's escaped! Recruit a team of teenagers with attitudes! I'm super serial!"
