Entry: Fairfield = Home Monday, May 01, 2006

You know those articles I used to write about the various quirks on Orofino? Well, just because I'm no longer in Orofino doesn't mean I'm gonna stop writing articles like that. Welcome to Fairfield, the home of the first ten years of my childhood, and now the home of my early adulthood. Today, we take a trip back to two of my old houses as well as other locals from my kidling years, including the field where the legendary Great Water War took place, and perhaps even the true home of the Ninja Turtles!

You can read the article HERE!

P.S. This is article #199. What do I got planned for article #200? SOMETHING HUGE!

So......a small collection of Hardy Boys hardcovers.

I have a larger one, which is part hand-me-down (the donor I have no clue, maybe it was someone from my stepdad's work). And the truth is, the Hardy Boys bored me. I never liked the idea of Segregated Mysteries and hoped they would team up with Nancy sometime to break the gender barrier. It never happened.

The Hardy Boy books were mostly given to me by my dad on my tenth birthday. He loved them, I found them quirky and occasionally fun, but I've haven't read them in years.

Greg, GREAT article. It was very sweet and funny and it made me miss my own childhood a little.

And Mars, they DID team up with Nancy Drew... quite a few times. In both the later paperback books of the 80s and 90s, and in the 70s TV show. I shouldn't know this. Rather I shouldn't admit that I do. Oh well.
